I received my Bachelors of Science in Nursing with my Minor in Psychology from University of Dominican College of San Rafael. I then received my Masters of Science in Nursing, with specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from San Francisco State University, specializing in women’s health and further received my Post-Masters in Midwifery from University of Cincinnati. I have been practicing for over 19 years, specializing in obstetrics, infertility, uro-gynecology, pelvic and sexual health. I am also affiliated with UCSF as a Fellow Nurse Practitioner.
After years of taking care of mommies and their families, delivering over 1000 babies in my midwifery career, and celebrating the birthday of the biggest miracle in their lives, I realized that, this is just the beginning of our pelvic health. I then further specialized in uro-gynecology, female urinary incontinence, pelvic and sexual health, pelvic prolapse, pelvic pain and urinary tract infections. Whether or not you have had a baby, I believe in pelvic preservation, and if you are having symptoms that is stopping you from doing things you love to do, or impacting your quality of life, then it is time to make a change.
In my healthcare career as a Nurse Practitioner, I have not only been in clinical care solely, I have also had several leadership, administrative, and educational roles in healthcare, having opportunities to open new clinics, and help create healthcare access across the care continuum to optimally meet patient needs. Through the years of evolving health care changes, I believe strongly, that no matter how health care is changing, the primary focus needs to be about the patient.
